K-LER Sweetness

 Purebred Simmental
OMF Blade x Sweeter Than Ever

Sweetness is the only heifer in recent memory and possibly ever to win both the Denver Junior Show and Open show in the same year. Her combination of depth, style, and structure is unmatched. She was consistently the deepest, soundest heifer out. She is the rare female that will work in any operation whether it be selling elite show heifer, club calves, or commercial bulls. Not only did she win Denver, but she also was Supreme Female at the MN State 4-H Fair, where several national champion females were in the supreme drive.

In addition to her phenotype her pedigree is also stacked. Her dam, Sweeter Than Ever is one of our best donor cows with 3 of her sons being lead herdsires in the following purebred herds: Nichols Farms, IA, Springer Farms, and Rossman Cattle Co/K-LER Cattle Co. Three of these herds reported that their best sire group was a son of Sweeter Than Ever. The fact that Sweetness is a complete outcross to almost every major Simmental bloodline is an added bonus.

She is averaging 14.25 embryos per flush and is being flush this winter. Eggs by Dream On, 468P, Make It Rain, and 600U. Watch for her 09 calves by 468P and Dream On.

K-LER Sweeter Than Ever

 Purebred Simmental
 Black Joker x Back Fire

Sweeter Than Ever has already proven herself to be one of the best Simmental cows in the breed already having produced Sweetness and 4 purebred herd sires, her only 5 calves! She stamps all of her calves with the same depth and structure that she herself possess. You can ask anyone who has been to our farm, the Sweeter Than Ever cow line is by far the deepest, most massive family on our farm. The longevity that they pass on make them even more valuable, with Sweeter Than Ever’s dam, 621F still going strong at 13 years old.

Sweeter Than Ever was no slouch in the showring herself being named 3rd Overall B&O at the Junior Nationals and Reserve Simmental at the MN Beef Expo. The judges always commented on her massive body and sound structure. Watch for her 09 calves by Blade, In Dew Time, and All Star. She is due for a Spring 09 calf to Make It Rain.

K-LER Beyonce

Purebred Simmental
Powerline x Burnt Black

DECEASED

Due to her fluke and untimely decease, Beyonce is now more valuable than ever.

Beyonce was our most successful show heifer with the exception of Sweetness, and is one of our top donor females. She has produced one of if not the best animal ever to come from K-LER Cattle Co., Make It Rain. In 2007 our best heifer, bull, and steer were all out of Beyonce. This is just another example of a Kaehler raised show heifer being better as a cow. More than once someone has picked Beyonce as their favorite cow on our farm. Beyonce offers incredible flexability when it comes to breeding namely because of her incredible soundness, this is what everyone falls in love with.

Her pedigree is an outcross to almost everything, and is full of great cows. Her dam was Seth’s first show heifer, almost all if not all of her maternal sisters have been shown, many by us. One of our strongest cows is a maternal sister to Beyonce.

As a show heifer Beyonce was champion bred and owned at the largest Simmental junior show that year, NCRC, and reserve overall heifer. She then went on to take reserve supreme heifer at the MN State 4-H Fair. We had several people tell us that she would have won the junior nationals if she had been a September instead of an end of August, this would have made her eligible to show a second year.

Megan’s Princess

 Purebred Shorthorn
Suds x Double Stuff

Again, the proof is in the progeny. Her 08 bull calf by Final Solution is awesome, and he is one of the best calves on the ground this year.  He was Champion bull calf and Reserve Bull at the MN State fair. Her first calf, Princess 422, went on to win reserve supreme cow/calf at the MN State 4-H fair. Princess 422 was the cow for that pair, and that calf sold for $12,000. Megan’s Princess is thick and stylish, and she translated those traits into all of her calves. She is also extremely sound, something that is obviously a requirement to become a donor for K-LER Cattle Co. As a show heifer she was never beaten in the shorthorn division until state fair. She won the MN Shorthorn Preview Show, MN 4-H Shorthorn Show, and Reserve shorthorn at the World Beef Expo. This year with her 08 bull calf she won the triple crown at the MN State Fair, Champion cow/calf in the 4-H, FFA, and Open show. She is a PHA Carrier but she is TH Free. She was recently flushed to Final Solution and produced 9 embryos. She is being flushed throughout this winter.

Princess 422

Purebred Shorthorn
Surge x Megan’s Princess

Her first calf sold for $12,000 in IA and was champion shorthorn calf at the MN State PACE show. 422 with her 1st calf was Reserve Supreme cow/calf at the MN State 4-H fair and champion shorthorn cow/calf at the MN State 4-H, FFA, and Open Show. She is an extremely complete cow that possess a stylish profile with a incredibly sound feet and legs. She is still young only having one calf, but we feel confident enough in her to have flushed her throughout all last year and she is now bred for a Final Solution calf due in the Spring 09.

HMLR Kylie

Purebred Simmental
Zinger x Nighthawk

Kylie is one of our lead donors. She is the dam of our herd bull, Zeus.

Her first calf, Smurf, was extremely massive and thick. He currently resides at Haley's in Waseka. Smurf as well as Zeus are calving ease sires. Smurf has been calved to heifers, and not a single pull yet! Kylie transmits depth and style to her calves in a sound package. You can't forget growth, Kylie has weaned a 860 lbs. calf and a 1050lbs. calf, at 7.5 months! One of our best open heifers this year is a Kylie.

Kylie has also shown extremely well. She was 3rd Overall Heifer at the 2002 NCRC, and went on to beat the Champion at the NCRC, later that summer, at the MN State Fair 4-H show, where Kylie claimed Champion Simmental Heifer. Kylie came back the next year, and had Champion Simmental Cow/Calf and Reserve Supreme Cow/Calf.
She has flushed extremely well - 35 embryos on two flushes. Watch for her and her progeny this coming year. She is due for a 09 calf to Make It Rain
