Sweetness was the first Simmental heifer to win both the Jr. and Open Simmental shows at the 2008 NWSS. She followed her success in the show ring by becoming a unique and powerful propagator of performance oriented, functional offspring – both male and female (see list below)

In addition to being a black ring-eyed, blaze face baldy, blaze faced baldy, Sweetness is a total outcross to Dream On, Macho, Shear Force, Built Right, and most of the 10 most used Simmental bulls.

She stems from a proven cow lineage that is massive bodied, sound footed, easy moving, long lived and consistently weans the heaviest calves. They will perform well on forage. Her dam’s full sister sold in a previous NWSS sale, her grand-dam was 14 yrs. old when she slipped and hurt herself on the ice, her great grand-dam was an excellent award winner that worked until the age of 16 years.

Sweetness’s maternal brothers have been herdsires for the performance-oriented herds of Nichols Farms, Bridgewater IA; Springer Simmentals, Crescoe IA; Rossman Farms, Oronoco MN where they have sired high sellers and Denver pen bulls.

Few Denver Champions offer the genetic diversity, broad range of Simmental breeding program acceptance and progeny success as Sweetness does.

HL Kara offers eye appeal and EPD profile, in proven outcross genetics. Her sire, the baldy HL Kaboom, has sired the high sellers for Heartland Simmentals. He was a member of the Accelerated Genetics line-up, but died at an early age. Her dam was the winningest Angus heifer in Iowa in 2007, capturing Champion Angus heifer at the Iowa State Fair. More importantly, she has become a pillar in Heartland’s herd, producing the high seller in 2010.

She sells bred to sexed heifer semen out of K-LER Make It Rain, who has already sired Champions at AJSA Nationals, NAILE, and 6 state fairs from CA to PA to MN to AL. His calves come easy and are very active at birth. Kara is donor material and her calf should be a great one.
